
Karuvallikalam
The Karuvallikulam sub-branch of the Nedumchira family can be traced back to Late Mathew Karuvallikulam, who was the third son of Late Uthup Nedumchira. Uthup was the youngest son of Thomman Thomman Nedumchira.
Mathew Karuvallikalam was a prominent figure in the history of Nedumchira and served as an Ameen at the district court where he was employed.
Mathew Karuvallikalam married Sosamma of Kondakassery family in Ranni, and they had six sons and two daughters, unfortunately losing their eldest son, Joseph, at a young age.

Late N.M. Markose, the second son of Mathew Karuvallikulam, was a merchant who resided at the Nedumchira house, S.H. Mount. He married Annamma of Thannickary family in Olassa, and they had two sons and three daughters.

Late N.M. Joseph, the third son of Mathew Karuvallikulam, was also a merchant who initially lived in Kottayam town, and later moved to S.H. Mount (Choottuveli). He married Aleykutty of Ithithara family in Kavalam, and they had four sons and four daughters.

Late N.M. Thomas, the fourth son of Mathew Karuvallikulam, was employed at a plantation and lived in the Karuvallikulam house in Chengalam. He married Mariamma of Paranickal family in Ranni, and they had four sons and two daughters.

Late N.M. Lukose, the fifth son of Mathew Karuvallikulam, worked at Travancore Cements and lived in the Nedumchira house in Perumbavoor. He married Thankamma of Puthuparambil family in Ranni, and they had two sons and three daughters.

Late N.M. Philip, the youngest son of Mathew Karuvallikulam, was a teacher who resided in the Nedumchira house in Thuruthikadu. He married Kunjamma of Eranickal family in Vennikulam, and they had three sons and a daughter.

Pennamma, the eldest daughter of Mathew Karuvallikulam, was married to Late Kuriakose of Puthenparambil family in Veliyanadu, while Mary, the youngest daughter, was married to Late Avarachan of Chilampathu family in Kottayam.
